Bonafuture
What is it?
In May of 2008, our Pastoral Council established a Pastoral Plan which included the creation of our Parish Mission Statement. This plan was presented to the Parish Family as a guiding doctrine – a statement of who we are and how we want to present ourselves to each other and the community.
Through prayer and reflection, this mission and plan continue to bring Light to our decisions by clarifying and prioritizing the work that we are asked to do. Our parish leadership quickly recognized that we needed a diverse group of parishioners to creatively seek and identify any roadblocks to realize our mission and execute our plan.
The Bonafuture Committee, consisting of 35+ parishioners, was established. Over the last several months this group has met regularly to identify facility and infrastructure opportunities to support our growing and thriving parish family. They were asked to formulate a series of recommendations that identify current needs and anticipate emerging needs so that our Parish Community can continue to thrive and proactively support our individual and collective journey.
While there are many facets to the final recommendation, the Bonafuture Committee identified a central theme: To Become a Catholic Community Center, a gathering place that enables the deepening of one’s faith, that fosters fellowship and connection with all that is, and the resources (facilities, programs, and support) to move toward our highest potential as a Parish Community. From this central theme, many wonderful changes and enhancements have graced our campus.

What’s ahead?
Many may have heard the rumor on the street regarding a capital campaign: a campaign designed to expand our facilities to support the creation of a Catholic Community Center that invites parishioners to learn about and deepen their faith through a variety of opportunities. The rumors are true, and the Bonafuture Committee had planned to kick off the campaign last fall; however, because of the uncertainty around the economy we prudently decided to postpone this campaign...we understand the difficulties that many of you are facing. In the interim, you will continue to witness an expansion in our new and varied programs (e.g. Why Catholic, Steeple People, Parish Mission, etc.). Stay tuned for further details…
