Summer Projects Updates ~ As I mentioned June 15, we have several summer projects planned. I beg your patience and understanding in regard to the important and necessary improvements for our parish campus.
1. Replacement of all windows in the 1912 school building and the parish office building with energy efficient products beginning in late June.
2. Resolve water issue in the lower level of the Parish School building - north and south and front of school building by installing “French” drains, removing existing asphalt near the building and replacing with “green” space and sidewalks with curb beginning in late June.
3. Renovation of Parish School first floor; 1-4 classrooms, Principal and Secretary’s office, main hallway, and math classroom (currently under construction).
4. Parking Lot Construction (50+ parking places) at Vandalia and Burton Streets.
5. Construction of new and prominent entrance onto Buchanan Street.
6. Eliminate current parking lot exit while maintaining existing entrance on Fillmore. The current exit will become parking.
7. Resurface 3/4 of current parking lot while re-striping entire lot with an emphasis on gaining more parking.
8. Install additional lighting for the parking lot.
