Opportunities for Giving
Like most Catholic Schools, St. Boniface faces the challenge of succeeding in an increasingly competitive educational marketplace. With tuition and fees covering just 60% of the cost of a St. Boniface education, the school relies on support from parishioners, alumni, parents and friends to help bridge the gap between tuition income and growing financial demands. This can be accomplished by contributing your time, your  resources, and your prayers to our many fundraising (and Spirit raising) efforts.

Angel Fund - All Parishioners receive a yellow envelope to support the Angel Fund.  All monies contributed go toward the tuition cost for a St. Boniface family needing assistance with tuition payments.

Operation Class Act - Parishioners may contribute directly to the school renovation fund by making a financial contribution to this fund.  As well, we can always use the donation of building supplies (paint, building materials, etc.) and volunteers` expertise during our renovation projects.

Classroom Wish Lists - Parishioners may select items from the classroom wish list and either purchase the item outright or donate toward a specific item.  Currently, our art program and science lab are in need of classroom supplies; please contact Sister Anna Flanigan, Principal, for more information.

Major Fundraisers

  • SCRIP is a very easy and convenient way for the school to raise money. Gift cards are purchased which can be used in place of cash when making purchases at local grocery stores, restaurants, and other merchants. The school makes 2% to 15% for every dollar exchanged. SCRIP gift cards may be purchased after each weekend Mass, at the Parish Office during business hours, and through the school office via an order form.

  • QSP Magazine Sale is held at the beginning of the school year. It is a great opportunity for families and friends to renew subscriptions to existing magazines and purchase new ones including books and CDs.
  • Italian Fest Dinner and Christmas Boutique are held in early November at the Parish Center. The Italian Fest dinner offers a spaghetti/meatball and mostaccioli dinner with salad, drink and dessert. The Christmas Boutique offers Christmas craft items donated by parishioners and school parents or craft items made by the school children.
  • The Auction Dinner Dance  This event features a silent and an oral auction, food, and dancing. A wide variety of auction items are donated by parishioners, parents, and friends of St. Boniface School.
  • Bonifest is a two-day parish festival held on Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. It features food, music, game booths, and amusement rides for all ages.

  • CAR Raffle is a joint effort between St. Mary`s Parish and St. Boniface Parish.  This is a Fall event, which lasts for approximately 2 months, and asks school families and parishioners to buy and sell raffle tickets enabling the winner to receive a new car or $15,000 in cash.

Additional Fundraisers

The following fundraisers are held every year; proceeds go toward P.E. supplies, the library and accelerated reader program, the computer lab, and other needs identified throughout the year.

  • Target – To participate, just visit the store to apply for a Target Credit Card (or use your existing card) and visit www.target.com or call 1-800-316-6142 and ask Target to designate St. Boniface School to the “School Fundraising Made Simple Program.” Target will donate 1% of all your charge card purchases to St. Boniface.
  • Tyson – Tyson will pay cash to the school when coupons are redeemed. Save the “A+ Support Your School!” coupon from Tyson products and turn them into the school.
  • Box Tops For Education – General Mills will pay cash to the school when coupons are redeemed.  Coupons are found on General Mills products, mainly cereal boxes. Just cut them off and send them into the school with your child.
  • Abitibi Recycling – The Abitibi Company has placed a dumpster on school property for recycling various kinds of paper, newspaper and magazines. They will not recycle cardboard, food containers, milk cartons, telephone directories, paperback books and laminated paper. We receive a small amount of money when we exceed 2 tons a month. The school sees this project primarily as a means of teaching the students about recycling.
  • Market Day – Order a wide variety of high quality foods through the Market Day program and the school earns a 10% profit. Order forms are sent home monthly with your child. Your order is to be turned in on the last Friday of the month and food orders are picked up and paid for on the first Friday of the month.
  • Campbell’s Soup Labels – The labels from a wide variety of Campbell’s products are collected during the school year and are redeemed at the end of the year for items from their catalog. In past years, the labels have obtained maps, map globes, cassette tape players, and other items for the school classrooms.
  • Aluminum Cans – Bring your cans to the trailer at the church/school parking lot to help raise money for the band.
  • Ink and Laser Cartridge Recycle – Collect your empty ink and laser cartridges and send them to school for recycling. Our school will receive up to $4 for each empty ink jet cartridge and up to $12 for certain laser/fax/copier cartridges. A list of acceptable cartridges is in the school office on www.eccorecycles.com. Money collected helps offset computer lab expenses.
  • Cell Phones – Student Council collects your old cell phones for recycling.  Simply send them to the school, marked as a donation, and our school receives cash for each phone we recycle. The money is used for Student Council activities.
