Confirmandi Information
Confirmandi are baptized students in grades 3–8 who have not yet received Confirmation and/or First Holy Communion. Students must be baptized before receiving these sacraments. If your child has not been baptized, please contact the coordinator, Jo Niebur at jniebur@st-boniface.com or 618-656-6450.
Older children will be grouped with students in the same age group whenever possible.
- Mandatory parent meeting: January 6, 2027
- English meeting: 5:30 p.m.
- Spanish meeting: 6:30 p.m.
- Living Saint Museum Project: Required for all Confirmandi
- Project due date: April 14, 2027
- Living Saint Museum Event: April 28, 2027
- Confirmation and First Holy Communion dates: Saturday, May 1, 2027, and Saturday, June 5, 2027
- May 1 is limited to 40 students.
- June 5 is limited to 60 students.
- Once a date is chosen, it cannot be changed.
- You will be notified by email when online registration begins. Only one date may be selected.

Parents are expected to actively support PSR instruction by asking their child(ren) about class each week and reinforcing the lessons at home using the Word of Life online materials.
Arrival
- PSR meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Elementary School.
- Children may enter under the Clock Tower no earlier than 6:15 p.m.
- Children will gather in Legacy Hall and follow their Catechist to the classroom at 6:30 p.m.
- Each child will receive a name badge to wear when entering and during class each week.
- Each family will be assigned a number, which will appear on the back of the child’s badge.
- Parents are not permitted inside the school.
- There is a $5 fee to replace a lost name badge.
- The doors remain locked. The front door locks at 6:45 p.m., and no one may enter after that time.
- If you arrive after 6:45 p.m., please make sure your child is able to enter before leaving. No one will be at the door to open it after 6:45 p.m.
Dismissal
- No child may leave without a parent or guardian following the dismissal procedures.
- All classes will be dismissed from Legacy Hall (gym) at 7:45 p.m.
- Parents should park and walk up to Legacy Hall to pick up their child(ren).
- Parents should form a single-file line at the door.
- At the door, parents will give the family’s assigned number to the Catechist, who will call the child forward.
- The child will meet the parent at the door after the family number is announced.
- All children must be picked up from Legacy Hall no later than 8:00 p.m. Please arrive on time.
Cancellations
- PSR cancellation notices due to inclement weather will be sent through Flocknote. Please make sure the coordinator has your current email address. If you are not currently enrolled in Flocknote, please enroll during registration at flocknote.com.
- If District 7 and/or St. Boniface is closed during the day, PSR will not meet that evening.
Attendance
- Children are expected to miss class only for a serious reason.
- The Diocese requires parents to notify the PSR Coordinator for each absence. Please send notice by Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. to jniebur@st-boniface.com.
- Parents are expected to teach the missed lesson using the Word of Life online book and materials.
- Students who miss six (6) or more classes will remain in the same grade the following year and will receive their sacraments at a later date.
- Do not send a child to class with a fever or if the child is feeling sick.
If a child complains of illness during class, the child will be removed from the classroom immediately, and parents will be called to take the child home.
