CAPITAL CAMPAIGN 2026

Living Our Legacy: Renewing Our Worship, Strengthening Our Mission

Living Our Legacy: Renewing Our Worship, Strengthening Our Mission

This campaign is intentionally connected to our 2017 campaign, Preserve Our Past, Form Our Future, Leave Your Legacy. What we began together nearly a decade ago laid a strong foundation. Because of your generosity then, Saint Boniface is vibrant and alive today. The Campaign builds upon that foundation—honoring our past while responding faithfully to the needs of the present and the promise of the future.

Renewing Our Worship

At the heart of Saint Boniface is our worship of God. Our Campaign will invest in projects that enhance the beauty, reverence, and functionality of our sacred spaces—ensuring that our church continues to be a place where hearts are lifted, faith is nourished, and generations encounter Christ in Word and Sacrament.

Strengthening Our Mission

Saint Boniface is more than a building—it is a mission. A mission that includes vibrant liturgy, strong faith formation, outreach to those in need, and a parish school that forms young disciples. This campaign will support the long-term vitality of our parish and school so that Saint Boniface remains a place of welcome, hope, and formation for years to come.

Living Our Legacy

A legacy is not simply what we inherit—it is what we choose to pass on. Those who came before us made sacrifices so that Saint Boniface could thrive. Today, we are called to do the same for those who will follow us.

Parish Campus Assessment Summary

An extensive assessment has been conducted regarding the needs and desires of the Saint Boniface Parish campus, encompassing the Church, Chapel, Oak Room and lower level, 1912 school building, and the parish cemetery. This review included input and observations from parish staff, parishioners, school faculty and administration, and our maintenance team. After careful discussion and evaluation, the following conclusions and recommendations have been identified to ensure that each area of our campus continues to serve the spiritual, educational, and pastoral needs of the parish community effectively and sustainably.

Church

The church, now 27 years old, is beginning to show natural signs of age and wear. One of the primary concerns has been the ceiling, which previously showed discoloration and damage due to roof leaks. After a period of trial and error, the roof repairs have been successfully completed, and the structure is now free of any potential water intrusion.

However, the ceiling continues to display lingering dark dust marks from past issues and general aging. To restore the interior’s brightness and enhance the overall worship environment, the next phase of improvement will include cleaning and repainting the ceiling. The plan calls for a lighter color palette, which will both refresh the space aesthetically and add more natural light and warmth to the church’s interior, creating a more uplifting and prayerful atmosphere for parishioners.

Pipe Organ

The current electronic organ—though visually enhanced by decorative façade pipes—is not a true pipe organ. After nearly three decades of service, the instrument has reached the end of its useful life. Replacement parts and repair options have become increasingly scarce, and the sound quality has diminished over time.

To preserve and enhance the musical and liturgical excellence of Saint Boniface Church, plans are underway to replace the electronic organ with a fully refurbished 1954 pipe organ acquired through the Wick Company of Highland, Illinois. This instrument, originally built in 1954 and formerly housed in a Temple in Creve Coeur, Missouri, will be completely overhauled and restored to create a showpiece of beauty and craftsmanship for our church.

When properly maintained, a pipe organ can serve for generations, offering not only superior sound and musical range but also a profound and lasting contribution to the sacred liturgy. The installation of this organ will be a significant and enduring enhancement to the worship life and artistic heritage of Saint Boniface Parish.

Lower-Level Kitchen

Plans are in place to renovate and expand the kitchen located in the lower level of the Church to make it more functional and user-friendly for parish events, particularly funeral luncheons, receptions, parish dinners, and social gatherings.

The expanded and improved kitchen will include a professional-grade cooler, ice maker, new stainless-steel sinks, and a commercial range suitable for larger meal preparation. Additionally, a dedicated pantry and increased counter and working space will enhance efficiency and organization for volunteer teams and parish groups.

This renovation will ensure that the lower level remains a welcoming and practical space for fellowship and hospitality—continuing Saint Boniface’s strong tradition of gathering around the table in faith and community.

Additional Meeting Spaces-Level Kitchen

Meeting space continues to be at a premium at the parish. To help address this need, a large room with a flexible, movable wall will be constructed on the south end of the Oak Room. This design will allow the space to be divided into one or two more private meetings or gathering areas as needed. The new rooms will be furnished appropriately for meetings and equipped with TV screens for video presentations, providing a functional and flexible space to support parish ministries and activities.

Parish Cemetery

A new storage building will be constructed at the parish cemetery to provide secure and organized space for equipment and materials used in the maintenance and care of the grounds, as well as for funeral and burial preparations.

This secure facility will house essential items such as tools, landscaping supplies, and burial-related equipment. In addition, it will serve as off-campus storage for parish items that are used only occasionally—such as tents, tables, chairs, and seasonal items, thereby helping to reduce congestion in other parish storage areas.

The addition of this building will improve the efficiency, accessibility, and stewardship of parish resources while supporting the continued care and dignity of the Saint Boniface Parish Cemetery. Also, due to the cemetery’s remote location from the parish campus, 24-hour camera surveillance will be installed to help enhance safety and security.

1912 School Building Restrooms

Renovation plans are in place for the restrooms in the 1912 school building, scheduled to take place next summer. Both the boys’ and girls’ bathrooms will be completely updated to meet modern standards of functionality, cleanliness, and accessibility.

The improvements will include new fixtures, flooring, lighting, and partitions, along with upgraded plumbing to ensure long-term reliability. These renovations will not only enhance comfort and appearance but also reflect the parish’s ongoing commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our students, faculty, and visitors.

1912 School Building

Significant improvements are planned for the 1912 school building, which continues to serve as an important part of the Saint Boniface Parish campus.

The classrooms and hallways of the 1912 building will be repainted and fitted with new flooring throughout. It has been nearly 20 years since the last major update to these areas, and this renovation will greatly enhance both the appearance and comfort of the learning environment.

Together, these improvements will preserve the historic charm of the 1912 building while ensuring it remains a safe, attractive, and functional space for generations of students and parishioners to come.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When will the work begin?
A. As gifts are received through the Living Our Legacy campaign, projects will begin in a careful and prayerful manner. We move forward as good stewards — not rushing ahead of Providence, but trusting that through your generosity, the Lord will provide what is needed at the proper time.
Q. What will happen if we exceed our goal?
A. Any funds received beyond our goal will be directed toward the long-term care and preservation of our parish facilities. Living our legacy means not only addressing today’s needs but safeguarding this sacred place for future generations who will worship, learn, and grow here.
Q. Can I make my pledge online?
A. Yes. A secure online giving page has been established on our parish website. This allows you to make your pledge and fulfill it in a way that is convenient and prayerfully planned.
Q. Why should I make a pledge?
A. A pledge allows you to respond thoughtfully and sacrificially over time. Much like the faithful who came before us built and sustained this parish brick by brick, a pledge enables you to make a meaningful commitment without undue hardship. It transforms a single gift into an intentional act of stewardship — an investment in the spiritual future of our parish family.
Q. Is my pledge over and above my Sunday Offering?
A. Yes. Our regular offertory sustains the daily life and ministry of the parish — the celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, outreach, and operations. Living Our Legacy invites us to make an additional sacrificial gift so that we may strengthen the foundation upon which those ministries stand.
Q. Who is invited to participate in the Campaign?
A. Every parish household is invited to be part of Living Our Legacy. This is not about equal gifts, but equal sacrifice according to one’s ability. When each of us participates in some way, we unite as one parish family, sharing both the responsibility and the blessings.
Q. What happens if I cannot fulfill my pledge?
A. Pledges are made in good faith and are not legally binding. If illness, hardship, or unexpected circumstances arise, simply notify the parish office. We understand that life can change, and we trust one another in charity.
Q. What if I would like to give stocks, real estate, or another type of gift?
A. There are many creative and thoughtful ways to support Living Our Legacy, including appreciated assets, qualified charitable distributions, and other planned gifts. Please refer to the “Ways to Give” section in this brochure or contact the parish office for guidance. We are grateful for any way the Lord moves you to give.
